5G cellular mobile communications is of exceptional importance to industry. The 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA) has made it its mission to successfully establish 5G in line with the imperatives of discrete and process manufacturing. This unique initiative brings together automation and manufacturing (operational technology) companies and major ICT players.
The global 5G-ACIA initiative is growing rapidly. On 1 March 2019, Deutsche Messe AG became its 46th member – just in time for the Hanover trade fair (Hannover Messe). The exhibition organiser will support 5G-ACIA’s international expansion goals, commencing with the 2019 Hanover trade fair – where Hall 16 will be dedicated to 5G technologies. 5G-ACIA will be located at stand D38/23, and holding presentations and participating in panel discussions in the 5G Arena Forum (D38). The forum is a meeting place for experts and other stakeholders interested in discussing and learning more about 5G for industrial scenarios – for example, in terms of standardisation, specification and regulation. 5G-ACIA has already acquired significant knowledge in these areas, and last year became a Market Representation Partner of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), the leading international standardisation body. As a result, 5G-ACIA has quickly established itself as the voice of industry worldwide when it comes to these technologies.
The 5G Arena Forum program will run daily during the trade fair from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm in Hall 16. The event also provides an opportunity to speak with our experts directly, and receive face-to-face answers to your questions regarding 5G for industrial scenarios.
